Fast trains stop at San Jose, local trains at Santa Clara. Then take the
bus #62 to "El Camino & Alpine" (a lot of stations are called El Camino
& something, so remember the more important Alpine). The bus driver will
accept cash and bus tickets but can not return, so it's best to have
$1.75 at hand once you enter the bus. We did not locate a bus ticket
automate, yet.

If you see a sign "Cherry & Sushi" you are next to the Guesthouse (green
sign!), the El camino road is filled with Restaurants but pedestrians
_walking_ along the road (like us) look alien.


Since there were no definitive proposals on what to do during the
recreation day, we will start visiting the Golden Gate Bridge and City
center today.


The hotel is great. Thank you Nathaniel for organizing this.

The rooms are comfortable and nice. The breakfast is good. You don't
hear the El Camino Real (big road) inside the rooms. The price is very
good compared to local standards. There's a standard (meaning not
eliterian) pizzeria next to the hotel where Europeans like us clearly
stand out but are well received.
Vegetarian Calzone and beer were good.

I really feel like being in America (even if this is San Francisco)
