Follow-up Comment #10, bug #49609 (project octave):

Yes, maybe there is a problem with calling "run-octave" directly from the
.desktop file. But how else am I suppposed to start the Octave GUI via a
launcher? When I use a .desktop file (without the "Terminal=true" line again)
that has "Exec=/opt/octave-4.2.0/bin/octave" or
"Exec=/opt/octave-4.2.0/bin/octave-4.2.0" than Octave will just NOT start at
all.
