Follow-up Comment #17, bug #51388 (project octave):

After renaming cwdtest-1.cc to cwdtest.cc and building with mkoctfile, I get

(repeated seemingly indefinitely, I just hit Ctrl-C)

This is with a cross-built 4.3.0+ hg id 58cb2f52ce67 ("maint: Periodic merge
of stable to default.") on Win7 Prof. 64-bit.

Note:
Specifying forward or backward slash as filesep (in SQ string filenames) makes
no difference for cwdtest.oct.
However, that does make a difference in the code in comment #2.
