partly. Which bug does it relate to?
AFAIU this bug is precisely what I also see on Windows but only on dev Octave,
not 6.1.0.

The background color & font of the terminal widget is OK now, but its position
(or that of the file browser & history pane to the right of it) isn't
remembered.
Intriguingly a build from Nov 22 that didn't behave (see comment #14) now
behaves correctly. I'd almost conclude that the qt-settings file was
clobbered.

FWIW, I monitored the appdata/.octave/qt-settings file (in Windows) and noted
that also when Octave starts it gets overwritten (date/time changes).
I'd expect Octave just reads it then and only overwrites it when Octave exits.
But admittedly I have no idea how the settings mechanism actually works.
