[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #59426] Horizontal widget positons not persistent

Follow-up Comment #20, bug #59426 (project octave):

It does not relate to a bug. For code maintenance, jwe fixed the parent
widgets when creating some gui objects. The terminal uses some signal
connections with the main window which where now tried to establish with the
terminal dock widget instead of the main window.

When your build include the patches for this bug report, the horizontal
position should be restored correctly. Could you please try to reset the
layout with the related menu action?

There are several occasions where settings are written immediately to the
settings file.
