Follow-up Comment #33, bug #57033 (project octave):

Regarding issue #2, a templated test to detect the SPQR library: is that
really necessary?  We just need to determine that the SPQR library is present
and if there are 100 functions in the library we can use any one of them to
detect the libraries presence.  We don't actually have to test for the
function we are using from the library.
