Follow-up Comment #15, bug #61199 (project octave):

I didn't mean to imply that there is anything wrong with repelem.  Octave is
compatible with the documented behavior of repelem and nchoosek so it is our
choice whether we want to go any further.

I would also expect that if repelem expanded capability to include any
arbitrary array then nchoosek would automatically gain the ability to operate
on these additional types.
