Follow-up Comment #10, bug #61788 (project octave): Sorry, I posted comment #9 before I read your comment #8. Yes, what you describe makes good sense, since it won't break Matlab compatibility. Does this affect file reading? Should we worry about any users who may have saved integer ranges in mat files in the past few months?
