Follow-up Comment #9, bug #59164 (project octave):

@Kai: your analysis makes sense but there are two things I don't understand: 

* The error given is line 296 and the line you highlight as the error is line
580. Why are they so different? Was there a major change to the stk package
that has not been released yet? 

* The News item says it will throw an error for the command form but not the
function form of rmdir and similar functions. Since it is being called in the
package with the function form, why is an error thrown? Does the News file
need editing?
