[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #63791] movfun - high intermediate memory use

From: Nicholas Jankowski
Subject: [Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #63791] movfun - high intermediate memory use for moderate data input resulting in out of memory errors
Date: Mon, 13 Feb 2023 09:03:29 -0500 (EST)

Follow-up Comment #24, bug #63791 (project octave):

@rik - haven’t tried yet but how quickly does that error usually register?
Is this something that would be a viable approach in general for m code with
this potential problem? I’m thinking specifically of the stalled progress on
delaunayn in bug #60818. And I was just reworking mean/median to collapse
vecdim calls to one operating dimension over in statistics which probably
could run into index size limits for large arrays. I don’t see how but is
this generalizable?
