[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #63791] movfun - high intermediate memory use

From: Rik
Subject: [Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #63791] movfun - high intermediate memory use for moderate data input resulting in out of memory errors
Date: Mon, 13 Feb 2023 13:24:45 -0500 (EST)

Follow-up Comment #25, bug #63791 (project octave):

@Liang: Thank you for testing. I will commit this change since it seems
helpful in the short run. Performance issues with the parallel package should
be the subject of a separate bug report. I don't use that package, but I know
it used to rely on forking new processes which may not work as well on Windows
as it does on a UNIX-like operating system such as Linux or Mac OS.

I think there is still another detail to investigate because switching to
single data class should have decreased memory consumption by 1/2. The fact
that it still failed is odd.
