Follow-up Comment #2, bug #63799 (project octave):
It is a distro problem -- suitesparse and suitesparse64 cannot coexist
apparently, even though 32 and 64 bit versions of BLAS and LAPACK can.
I worked around it for now by replacing suitesparse64 by suitesparse. This
required me to temporarily uninstall julia (which required suitesparse64).
@Antonio Rojas: If you have workarounds for Octave users, pls share here.
