G'day,

I've got yet another revision of the Xinerama patch. This one is mostly
a simple bugfix over the previous iteration - it fixes a crash that
would sometimes happen when a window was unmapped. I've been using it
for about a day now, and so far it seems pretty solid...

I also have Debian packages available for sid and woody, so being too
slack to build and patch your own source is now no longer a valid excuse
for not trying it :-) Appropriate sources.list lines are:

        deb http://cp.yi.org/apt/ratpoison sid main
        deb http://cp.yi.org/apt/ratpoison woody main

TODO list in some semblance of order:

- Some kind of command-line option (or better yet, config option) to
revert to the old Xinerama behaviour would be nice. Actually, we
already have this in some form, as if you use the -s option to specify
a particular screen, Xinerama is not used. But that's not exactly the
cleanest way of doing things :-)

- Minor: When you restart ratpoison, windows don't remember which screen
they were on. They should. (They're supposed to already, but for
some reason that code isn't doing what it looks like it does.)

- At one point this afternoon, it looked as though weird stuff was
happening with rat warping. But I've been unable to reproduce it
  since :-(

- Make fdump and frestore list frames on all screens, so that virtual
desktop scripts will work properly. (This may require adding another
field to the frame dump format...?)

- Likewise, fselect should be able to select frames on other screens.
This would likely require changing the way frames are numbered -
currently each screen has its own set of frame numbers - which in turn
might involve significant reorganisation of stuff. Grr. Maybe it's
  not worth the hassle.

- There should be some way to have windows spanning monitors if you
really really want them, to placate Trent.

Cheers,

Cameron.
