Can I (cvs) remove CVS:/savannah/www/savannah.html from savannah's CVS
repository (subversions.gnu.org:/cvsroot/savannah) safely, then, or does
it need to be generated (and committed) from ../doc/savannah.texi with
the make publish ?

The question is : when and from where the
http://savannah.gnu.org/savannah.html page gets regenerated ? (sorry...
it might be documented, but with explanations/confirmation, I'll try to
make it clearer in the docs). Is it generated from :
 - a local copy installed from a tarball or the CVS (not regularly
updated)
 - directly (cron, loginfo, ... ?) from CVS:/savannah/www/savannah.html
 - or could be directly from the source CVS:/savannah/www/savannah.texi

Another way to formulate this : as far as I understand it, savannah
works from a database and pages... are the "static" pages
(documentation, not the result from interaction with CGIs looking in the
base or in CVS via viewcvs) dynamically updated from CVS or not ?

Thanx in advance for your time.
