    pdf2swf -s poly2bitmap file.pdf -o file.swf
or
    pdf2swf -s bitmap file.pdf -o file.swf

what do you mean, "crashed your server"?
Bluescreen+Reboot?

Afraid not- it's always possible that pdf2swf will surrender
in the middle of a conversion.
