Which Tramp version are you running?

Asynchronous commands always require a new login on your remote
machine. But Tramp shall remove the initial welcome lines, once it has
reached the prompt.
Could you, please, set `tramp-verbose' to 6 and show Tramp's debug
buffer after your test run?
