[avr-chat] Strange problem with ATMega32A-PU

Hi all,

I had a project working fine with an ATMega32L-16PU
.
Now I have received some of  the new ATMega32A-PU's.

The same project does not function on the newer devices (LCD is blank etc.)

Since I did not have older M32L's, I programmed a shorter version of
the project into an Mega16L. It worked fine.

I programmed the same (shorter Version) project into the newer M32A,
(taking care to modify the command lines for Mega32) and again it does
not work.

I am using the internal RC osc @ 8 MHz & JTAG disabled.

Atmel says M32A is a drop in replacement for M32L (except for the
power & upper speed limit specs).

Are there any issues I should be checking ?
