Don't worry about changing my code. It is always a work in progress. 

I'm excited to see this, particularly because of the new infoset
property you have for buffers. I'll need to rework my collection of
hacks that used other means for saving metadata.

I have only yet tested to pop in a CD, but everthing looks basically
good. One thing needs to be fixed right away, though. I wrote about
this issue in another message.

You have elected to put the device inside the cdda URI. This
particular syntax does not work with mplayer. Either mplayer needs to
translate the URI or the URI needs to be changed. We could use the
infoset property for the device, for example.
