o, I don't think so. About 2 hours learning libMySQL, maybe another 2 hours for implementing the adaptor. But indeed it might be worth the effort, I'll take a look later this week.The major problem with writing adaptors is usually working around database API limitations (eg say BLOB and Sybase ;-).

After talking with Helge offline and doing some investigation on libmysqld, it might actually be less than that. It may just mean taking the existing MySQL GDL adaptor, adding a few calls and changing the link line. Might be best done through an extra configure option for the mysql adaptor.
Hey! This seems like great news. :))I would seriously love to help you in any way that I can with this task. Maybe first by writing some documentation? Or for a start providing a translation to German (which I kinda speak as a natural language.. :).
Is there any possibility? cu Martinp.s.: Would it be an important thing to get to know what the specialitys of BLOB and Sybase are? <So sad not to know.. ;)>
