I think so ... the release notes for jaguar talk about a new keyed 
archiver class and say that the foundation objects have been converted 
to use it.  I'm guessing that this might write xml format output, 
though I haven't seen anything saying it does.

In any case I think this means we can remove/alter the keyed coding 
extensions in gnustep to implement the new Apple API instead,
and if the output format turns out to be xml we can probably reverse 
engineer it so that the gnustep classes can write the same
format!  This is going to take a while to assess and to develop though.
