Multiple licenses means that the user choses the license he prefers. Since one of them is GPL, we can use QT exactly the same way as if it was only GPL by writing a GPL application.

Ok, but I dislike the idea to become this dependent on one single (and
big) chunk of code (library), but then again ... that's just me :-)

There is a big enough community around QT (KDE) that if trolltech disappears, this community will be able to maintain QT.

So a rework of the Glob2 GUI to use pure SDL is more like it, or maybe a
"sdlTK" (or how about http://www.newimage.com/~rhk/SDL_gui) :-)

Currently, there is libgag that is exactly that. And it's the main reason why NCT wants to get away from it: it's terribly limited. Switching to an other UI toolkit that is as featureless as libgag is probably not a good idea. IMHO it's either gtk or qt.
