No, this is a clear situation. You can treat the echo of the command as
the acknowledge in the at driver. If the link driver doesn't support or
use the possible ack checking you can disable it with calling the
sm_incoming_ack() right after the send function. Retransmitting until the
phone acknowledges the command is required by some link drivers (m2bus and
fbus).
