Ruben,
the circumstances is that Tony is permitting the eGovCOS conference to be used
to promote Microsoft "Shared Source" as a valid and hence ethically
acceptable form of or ethically equivilent "Open Source" and Free Software
licensing. This is Microsoft's goal, and I see no reason to participate in a
conference that helps promote that mistaken goal. However, this was not my
only reason for deciding not to attend that event; it was simply the last
straw.
