This is a bug.  What you have done should work, but it doesn't. The bug
occurs because the transpose changes the octave of the d chord to d', so the
predefined fretboard doesn't apply any more and it calcuates an automatic
fretboard.

Please file a simple bug report.  I have a potential solution in mind, and
hope to get it fixed in the next week or so.
