Never mind Patchy...  After the problematic commit, you made a release
tag and everything.  This is going to be one mess of a cleanup.

I propose that we don't actually release release/2.15.23-1, and that
I'll rebase all of your release work out from staging, just keeping the
rest.  You ok with cleaning the release branches?
