True, and it's not a syntax change so it's "transparent" to users
(except for the added command line option...)

I don't know, depends on whether I have motivation and time tomorrow
afternoon / evening (which nobody asked about, I think). Same for the
actual branching, I still need to check what exactly I did two years
ago and if I remember things that didn't work well or could be
improved...
