Follow-up Comment #12, bug #58004 (project octave): I have repeated the test of Philip up to ii==770 without any error (configuration as per #3) and then aborted because the figure popping up started to become annoying. No errors caused. I am running this on a HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 with SSD. In addition to Philip's suggestion, I am wondering whether this may be related to the OS being used.
