Follow-up Comment #5, bug #59706 (project octave):

I attached a zip file that contains a minimal example. It is source of .oct
file that loads a .txt file containing some names and calls
octave::symbol_table::find_function multiple times. Please compile it
separately for Octave 5.2.0 and 6.1.0 and you can see performance slowdown in
Octave 6.1.0.
In the zip file There is also a screen capture that shows one of call stacks.
