Thanks to Cam the problem is solved, there was a need to
install the kernel sources which I hadn't. Now I finally
managed to get a plex86 binary! Wohooo!

Missing a make install rule, excitedly I changed to the user
directory and executed plex86 to see if there are any
message output with further explanation how to get it up and
running, when it told me I had to install a kernel module
and told me to read the root level README file.

The root level README file contains a warning and
information how to get the docs. I went to the URL given
(http://plex86.org/docs) and got a 404. The docs directory
contains some insightful notes about emulation strategies
which were very interesting to read.

So it looks like I have to rely once again on your help :)
Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Ooookays, I have done as you said, installed gcc296 and
g++296 for use with plex and ... the error is gone.

Instead I now have a missing file on my system.

kernel/host-linux.c includes a file asm/uaccess.h which
isn't present on my system. The /usr/include/asm directory
belongs to glibc-kernheaders-2.4-7.20 ("rpm -U --force
glibc-kernheaders-2.4-7.20" didn't work)

Can anyone please run a rpm -qf on this file?
