Mathieu,

You're right, I meant to say that it "clearly doesn't work
for many people", as I have no way of knowing that how many
people that it is working for, as they tend not to file bug
reports... ;-) However, it's equally true that for every
bug report there's probably many people who have also failed
to use sftp, but haven't filed a bug report, but simply
given up and used scp.

In any case, I agree that it doesn't make sense to remove
sftp altogether from the FAQ, but simply mark the support
for sftp as experimental/unstable so that folks aren't
surprised if it doesn't work. It appears that you have now
done that in the FAQ, so thanks!

I also know that most of Savannah maintainance is done by
GNU volunteers (unlike SourceForge.net), and as a volunteer
on some other GNU projects myself, I don't for a minute want
to take the great work that everybody does here for granted.
So thanks to you all (Rudy, Mathieu, Loic, Laurent and
everybody else).

Alex

Spot the difference:

There *is* no difference, or at least none that I could see. But
I've provided a datestamp at the top, so you might be able
to correlate this login attempt with the logs at your end.
Good luck!

John
