my first searches led me to think that we need to support extensions
of ICCCM that seem to be used to implement WMs with virtual desktops,
namely the WM_NET protocol. I would be interested to corroborate that
hunch.  Can the readers of that list can send me the following
information:

What window manager do you use?
Does you window manager supports virtual desktops?
Do you have problems with presention mode?
If yes. Which problem?

Also I would be interested if you know a Open Source application that
uses such a full-screen mode so I can see how they implement that
functionality.Opera does it but is not Open Source. :(
