Dan,

Re-installing did it. I am not sure what went wrong,
but this time before I re-installed, I first
move the texmacs.exe file to a clean empty directory
(texmacs-install) and then ran texmacs.exe. This
unpacks the setup and data files, but does not start
the install (contrary to what texmacs.exe says when
it does the unpack). Then I run SETUP.EXE and everything
proceeds as it should. Maybe a future version of your
install script could make this a little more transparent?

Anyway, now it's running fine and I am enjoying TeXmacs
on Windows!

Thanks.

Bill Page.
