 It looks beautiful.
But the text is a little bit too small for me.
 My screen is 1280x1024,
and the contrast between text and background is a little bit too low.
I would like to suggest to use the font size
as big as what www.gnustep.org is using right now,
and increase the contrast between the black text and background.
The contrast between clicked-link (brown/orange) and background
is also too low for me.
I also suggest that the box should not over the right border
 of the big gnustep box.
And the simliar boxes could be placed nearby.
For example, user and developer box could be more close,
and resource and book box, too.
User tend to find what they want depending on the similar item.

 Just my little comment

As I wrote on 09/23/2002, I sat down and made a proposal for a new layout
of the GNUstep website.
It is now online here:

http://www.sqar.org/gnustep/website-relaunch/

some word thereto:

I tried to make the GNUstep side look a little more friendly and relaxed
(brighter colors, more space) while keeping the professional approach. I
hope I succeeded.

I make use of stylesheets. Since I don't have currently a Linux-box, I
don't know how they are supported by various Linux-browsers. However, I
tested the page with Mozilla/Netscape (6.1) on Mac OS X and Windows,
Internet Explorer on Mac OS X (5.2) and Windows (5.0 and 5.5) and OmniWeb
(4.1) on Mac OS X and all show a satisfying result. So I think it should
work correctly at least with Mozilla on Linux. If you are unsure whether
what you see is correct, please refer to:

http://www.sqar.org/gnustep/website-relaunch/what_it_should_look_like.png

There you can see my intention and what it looks like on OmniWeb.

Please also mail me whether you like the new look or not and detailed what
you like or not.

The texts are of course not final, and I think we should discuss the
actual content of the page. I think we should emphasize the userside of
GNUstep a bit. Currently one could think GNUstep is a developer only
thing. Professional texters anywhere? ;-)

enjoy it!

greetings, Lars
