In SVN you find it under: devmodules/tests/examples

anyone planning or updating it, or should I just delete the FreeBSD port of it?

The last released version doesn't compile with current clang/libobjc2 and 
non-fragile-abi,
but the version in SVN got some fixes and doesn't suffer from it. 
I actually sent a mail to gnustep-dev or here,
asking for a new release of the examples, but there was no reply.
