I applied your patch and it broke the compilation here. In particular, the opt 
include seems to confuse the test for speex, even after correcting "speex.h" 
to "speex/speex.h". It would be nice if some Scons guru could have a look.

Anyway, thank you. I just registered a new ssh key so I cannot upload your 
file right now on savannah, but if no one does it I will do it tomorrow.
