Integrating python with the runtime of the actual game would require enormous effort. Python is used by me mainly when I make scripts to help me write code. the add_*.py scripts generate the identical classes in NetMessage.h or IRCThreadMessage.h for example, and check_translations.py standardizes and checks the translations.
