My only comment on this is, "Why not work within the Monotone
development group?"  It's not like this is an exclusive group by any
means.  If library separation is a wishlist item (I don't yet see it
on the Monotone wiki), why not find out from the existing Monotone
developers if it was on the broiler plate?

Are you thinking about completely re-implementing mtn in your own
favorite language/design paradigm or something?  It seems like a lot
of work for questionable benefits.
