I know that this would be a cool nifty feature (this as already been
discussed two years back on this list), but it would a) require quite
a lot of work to implement it, since it wouldn't work nicly with most
of the current collision detection and physic code, b) wouldn't really
work in a Lemmings like game, where you can only passivly controll the
Pingus, this is more something which would work in scenarios where you
can activly controll your sprites (aka jump'n run).

If somebody wants liquid pools that can emptied, it would be better to
implement them in a manner similar to the switchdoors, meaning have a
switch which can make the water flow out.

Fixing things that nobody will notice, won't make it any better. We
should concentrate on the obvious gameplay bugs first and only care
about all this irrelevant vodoo at a later point.
