Maybe the solution is to a) ignore all resize events and
b) do the "maximize" once right away, once again 1 second in,
once again 2 seconds in, once again 4 seconds in. But who knows;
for something that takes a long time to load (like emacs) you
probably want to maximize 2 seconds AFTER the window gets mapped,
not 2 seconds after invocation. Hmm.
