    I agree that goals need to be heard, but I still don't understand the 
    methods (renaming a historic name to another one).

We are not renaming the system.  Its name has been "GNU" ever since
1983.  Calling it "Linux" was never correct, it is just a widely
repeated error.

You can help us correct the error by calling the system GNU/Linux.
