Should be noted that M-S-x is tricky to get working on consoleM-X works on any terminal.M-S-x does not work in _any_ terminal, there are plenty of dumb ass terminals in embedded systems (sometimes custom, sometimes BSD, sometimes GNU, sometimes some other Unix) that are capable of running Emacs just fine where it does not work and it is a pain to setup. That is what _my_ experience is, I am happy for you and others that it works for you, but lets stop pretending that everyone runs the exact same thing, and everything works the exact same way for everyone.
A few days ago you claimed that the super key works in consoles and terminals, in spite of the fact that it doesn't work out of the box anywhere. And now you claim that M-S-x doesn't work in consoles and terminals, in spite of the fact that it works out of the box almost everywhere...
Yes, there are rare exceptions, but I just tried various Emacs versions on various operating systems, including an Emacs 20 on a twenty years old Tru64, and M-S-x just works.
