Indeed, and many more. Even some games have builtin package managers.

There is an article about it in the Libreplanet wiki[1]: The goal is to
get some help from less technical users that could coordinate to
bug-report in affected distributions: if 1 package is known to have an
issue, multiples distributions are most likely affected.
