Huh, are you saying people using GNU/Linux distros shouldn't install
LilyPond from their distro package repository?  Of course, GUB is
wonderful for making latest releases available for almost all platforms,
but distro packages have their merit too, for example for saving a few
megabytes of shared libraries in RAM, or for people who discover
LilyPond through distro package repositories.

No, 'current' is replaced by the version number.
