Mhmm.  If we have

  <anchor>-{ <skip1> <skip2> ... <skipn> <skipx> }

with

  duration(<skip1>) + duration(<skip2>) + ... duration(<skipn>) =
    duration(<anchor>)

then <skipx> can have an arbitrary duration, which is ignored, and
only its post-event is taken into account.  I really don't see an
immediate need for `z'.  It would only make sense to introduce `z' if
there are other situations to use it.

>    c'1\at{ s4 s\< s2 z\! }

This looks like being possible to realize with a music function...
Actually, this would satisfy my syntax sugar needs.
