Please don't go for something like this. It is too confusing for
somebody like me, who couldn't possibly remember all these variations
from one document-writing session to the next. There is nothing mnemonic
about any of these markups, unlike the Texinfo @emph{foo}, etc.
I would find this a strong put-off to writing documentation. It would
just be too much effort. Even if there were nice key sequences, like C-c
C-c C-e, to insert these, it would still be too much strain, since there
would be no feedback that the correct C-c C-c ... sequence was used.
