So, what are you supposed to do when N list members complain one way,
and M complain another way?   Compare the magnitudes of M and N?

It's pathetic that such a conceptually simple change to the popular
free software MUAs isn't a practical option because it has to go
through so few people and so many layers of process before it's widely
available.  We should all be asking why that's the case.
