OK, I tried that (the verbose log file is attached), and I get the following:

I'm not sure which missing file it's complaining about really; the
generated ps file at least was coped to the directory I'm in, so it
*should* be found.

OK. Maybe they should get another extension then, though - it's a bit
confusing to have a ps file you can't view. :) (FWIW, BTW, viewing the
ps files generated by the Cygwin lilypond package works fine, and they
look better than the generated PDFs, too.) (Of course, that only
applies if they aren't deleted after PDF conversion, anyway, which I
unfortunately can't check right now - see below).

You need to get the Chinese IME (Input Method Environment, IIRC),
which can be downloaded from M$'s website; newer windows versions seem
to come with it, but you still need to activate it..
http://www.andante.org/ime_install.html seems to have some information
on how to do that (and on how to install it, for older windows
releases).

That being said, I just noticed something else that's strange - after
uninstalling and re-installing Lilypond, the "Convert to PDF" context
menu item is gone, and PDF conversion fails for *all* files now, even
those that worked before. I tried rebooting the machine, too (which
usually - unfortunately - is a cure for many small windows problems),
but that didn't help, either.
