Anyway, it's been some time since I've timed the builds...  on my build
machine (an 8 core AMD machine), trunk takes 2m52s to do a "make
bootstrap", while a full AOT build in the native-comp branch takes
10m15s.  So the native build takes a bit more than 3x as long there.

Which is less than I had assumed, really.
