It needs a test using the --update option, which I'll get to either in the morning or after work tomorrow. I suppose I should also put a note in NEWS about setting your get_default_command_options() if you want to always have that behavior.

I think it's improved since that post.

Other than that I'm quite happy with the results. We've closed many bugs
and I think we should do that again some time in the future to bring
down the bug count even more.

Maybe try for every 6 months or so? If it's too often we'd probably get lower participation on any particular date, which wouldn't work at all at our size.
