Dear Arash and other friends,

If you are intressted to check status or to participate in farsification of Mandrake take a look at:

http://www1.mandrakelinux.com/l10n/fa.php3

I have translated "coordinator" as "nazem"! It sounds so funny! is there a better word for that?

And also translation of PostgreSQL adminstration's interface, pgAdmin3, has finished.
Please download and install a snapshot of this program in CVS from:

http://www.pgadmin.org/snapshots

And test the farsi locale/translations and get back to me with your constructive critics!
Version 3 is set to be released soon!

Thank you all

/Abbas

We, at Chapar Shabdiz, talked to Mandrake for a while and didn't achieve
very good results. That was before you brought this subject up.
From a commercial POV working with foreign commercial distributions is not
a commercially interesting point as there is almost no way to earn any
money with it in Iran.
I.e: if you want to sell a (foreign) boxed product in Iran, you are more
likely to loose money than to earn any.
I am saying this because you referred to Chapar Shabdiz as a possible
partner to Mandrake.

Another point to consider was the fact that Mandrake has not been doing
very well, which makes the situation a little bit shaky.

In these cases it is always better to look at it from an open and Free POV.
With FarsiKDE on our plan, are not willing to take much more load at this
moment.
Hence your efforts to work with Mandrake is most welcome and very much
appreciated.
Please feel free to use this mailing list to post updates on your progress.

Greetings,
Arash
